E’ veramente incredibile: Dominique Strauss-Kahn, il Managing Director del FMI e il probabile sfidante di Sarkozy alle prossime presidenziali francesi, è stato arrestato a NY accusato di aver violentato una cameriera. Due considerazioni. 1) la perdita di prestigio per l’istituzione FMI avviene proprio nel momento peggiore, quando l’Europa continua a balbettare alla ricerca di istituzioni idonee ad affrontare una crisi molto grave. 2) La giustizia negli Stati Uniti non guarda in faccia a nessuno. “IMF Managing Director Strauss-Kahn was arrested in New York City. Mr. Strauss-Kahn has retained legal counsel, and the IMF has no comment on the case; all inquiries will be referred to his personal lawyer and to the local authorities.“The IMF remains fully functioning and operational.”
